The new Little Wise Set of Grief and Loss Affirmation Cards offers a compassionate toolkit that has been designed to support children, young people and individuals of all ages grieving the loss of close loved ones, especially where there has been a big impact on day-to-day life.

Inside this toolkit you’ll find:

  • A booklet that explores what grief is, looks at how the brain can respond and its impact, and provides the context for working with our mindset and thinking patterns to support the process of engaging with grief in a compassionate, understanding and healing way; and
  • 120 affirmation cards which bring the insights in the booklet to life.  Collectively, these cards offer an insightful, nurturing and practical approach for helping individuals who are grieving.

As well as being used in the home, this toolkit also works well in settings where professionals are supporting those who are experiencing the grief and loss of close loved ones.

I have developed this set building on the evidence base and my research around CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), reframing, grief and general mental health and wellbeing.  It has also been created with a lot of love and thought and I’m so happy it’s now available to help support people of all ages who are navigating the complexity of grief.
