Product Description
The Little Wise Set of Anger Affirmation Cards offers a toolkit for helping children, young people and individuals of all ages engage with anger in a nurturing, empowering and helpful way that can bring about positive change.
Inside you’ll find:
- A booklet that provides the framework and looks at what anger is, offers a useful way to visualise anger, and shares how our mindset and thinking patterns can influence the way we view and approach anger; and
- 120 affirmation cards that bring the insights in the booklet to life. Collectively, these cards offer an informative and practical approach for helping individuals engage with their mindset, thinking patterns and angry feelings in a transformative and uplifting way.
This resource has been designed so that it’s suitable for all ages from 5 – 105. There’s so much that we can all gain from using and implementing all that this set offers.
As well as being used in the home, this toolkit also works well in a range of different settings such as schools and counselling services.
I have created this set building on the evidence base and my research over the years around CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), reframing, growth mindset and general mental health and wellbeing. It has also been created with a lot of love and thought and I’m so happy it’s now available to offer support.
Reviews
“The Little Wise Toys reframing, anger, anxiety and grief toolkits are a really wonderful resource… I recommend these to parents, carers and those working with young people who are navigating big emotions… The toolkits guide exactly the kinds of reframing and emotion management that is needed to support young people in appropriate emotional development and to make the best behavioural choices.”

“The Anger Affirmation cards provide so many nuggets of wisdom; I almost feel as if it’s like having your own little guru to refer to, it’s the voice you need in your head when things are getting out of hand. Anger is such a difficult emotion to learn to manage, a lot of the cards talk about different ways of slowing down and recognising the signs that anger is appearing, noticing those sensations, accepting those feelings and then letting them pass. One of my favourite cards talks about saying ‘thank you’ to anger for visiting, acknowledging that anger has come as a means of ‘self-protection’ but ultimately the choice is made to handle the situation calmly.
I really love the idea of engaging with feelings in this way, it’s a powerful reminder that we are in control of our emotions, not the other way round. The other aspect that really stands out for me about these little wise nuggets, is the reminder to be kind to ourselves; the message that comes through is very much about accepting our flaws, not expecting perfection from ourselves and, most importantly, learning to move on from our mistakes.”
